 The Board of Secondary Education (SEBA) Assam has introduced a new elective subject to give education on ’Artificial Intelligence and Robotics‘  from the academic session 2024-2025

The New Elective subject – Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is added in class 9 from academic session 2024-25 and in class 10 from academic session 2025-26. The key points of SEBA New Guidelines 2025 are available below.

SEBA HSLC 2025 New Guidelines

SEBA has made some changes regarding upcoming HSLC Exam 2025 and introduces a new elective subject. The major changes that have made about examination under Board of secondary Education from the academic session 2024-2025 and seba notice for hslc 2025 are given below.

1. The practical number of all vocational subjects will be 50% from the Academic year 2024-2025. The vocational subjects are

  • Artificial Intelligence and Robotics
  • Garment designing
  • Woodcraft
  • Music
  • Dance
  • Yoga and Physical Education
  • Fine Art
  • Home Silence
  • Weaving and Textile Design and all subjects under National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF)

2. The new elective subject, Artificial Intelligence and Robotics is effective from academic session 2024-25 in class- IX and from 2025-2026 in class X.

3.  The practical marks for Computer science and Commerce will be 30%, as similar as earlier.

4.  The District level Internal Examination Committee (DLIEC) will conduct the practical exam for all the subjects under  (NSQF) for class 9 and class 10, 2025.  Students must pass in practical examination separately.

5.  The students must secure pass mark in both MCQ and Descriptive Questions separately and 50% of IA marks will be given with the marks secured in MCQ and other 50% with the marks secured In Descriptive Questions. In that case pass mark for MCQ sections will be 13 and pass mark for IA in MCQ will  be  2 and similar  for Descriptive Question section as well.

6. For the upcoming HSLC exam the OMR will be four sets such as A, B, C, D

7.  In English and other language subjects’ questions may not ask from the prescribed lessons only. There may be unseen passages, grammar items, etc. as it will be based on the  learning outcomes of the subjects.

8.  The Patterns of questions of Social Science and other subjects including the vocational will also be change d as per guidelines of NEP 2020.

9. To give the Quality Education, teachers’ Energize Resource Manual” of the subjects Mathematics and Science will be sent to every school that are affiliate d to SEBA and a training of master trainer will  be providing by SEBA in the month of May,  2024.
