Purpose Assam Gunotsav 2024
Gunotsav is a new initiative designed for qualitative improvement in school education system. The following four core areas are evaluated in Gunotsav which are-
- Scholastic (learning outcomes of children)
- Co-scholastic
- Infrastructure
- Community participation
The participating Schools in Gunotsav are grade d as A+, A, B, C and D on the basis of performance. This exercise helps in identifying the learning gaps and ensuring taking appropriate remedial measures for attaining grade specific learning outcomes by all children. Considering the importance of Gunotsav exercise, Govt. has already issued notification regarding incorporation of schedule of Gunotsav in Academic Calendar.

Gunotsav-2024 was held from 03 January to 8th of February 2024 in three phases.
