The Department of Higher Education has re-opened the Assam State Higher Education Admission Portal for admission into various under graduate courses (BA/B.Sc/B.Com/B.Voc etc) in Assam state universities and colleges. The online registration process for SAMARTH UG Admission is available now. Students who have passed Higher Secondary (H.S) Final examination have to apply for admission through SAMARTH official portal. SAMARTH Admission Portal 2024
Govt. of Assam has has released a new notification today on 12th June 2024. As per the notification,
Students who have yet not registered or applied will be able to register and apply at
https://assamadmission.samarth.ac.in/ The already registered candidates who have not submitted the application form can submit their incomplete form before the last date 14th June 2024. However, registered candidates will not be allowed to “Edit” or “Discard” the Submitted” applications.
Candidates should follow the admission procedures while filling out the application form. The steps for admission process is below.

Assam Samarth Portal Registration 2024
Students can submit the Assam UG admission application form through SAMARTH UG admission portal that is assamadmission.samarth.ac.in. To successfully submit the application form, students need to complete the three steps very carefully. Check the process of registration and others below.
Admission to UG programme such as FYUGP, FYIMP, FYIPGP will be
considered valid for admission processing only if the following steps are followed in
smarth portal.
Step 1: Complete Registeration and verification of registration using OTP
Step 2: Profile Lock
Step 3: Submit application
Step 4: Dwnload Print form
The online registration is already started at the portal. All the students who have successfully registered themselves and filled up the profile details, they can choose 10 colleges for admission. The college or university will provide admission as per the merit of the candidate. It means the college will publish the selection list of students for final admission in the Samarth portal. Documents require for SAMARTH Admission Portal 2024
Students need the following document to apply for admission in various UG Courses through SAMARTH Admission Portal.
- A Passport Size Photograph in JPG or JPEG format
- Digital Signature of the candidate in JPG or JPEG Format
- Identity Proof certificate such as (PRC, Voter ID, Aadhar, Cast Certificate, Birth Certificate, School ID or any other certificate issued by govt of Assam)
- Income Certificate (If any)
- CCA Quota Certificate (If any)
- Class 10 Admit Card, Marksheet, Pass certificate & registration certificate
Class 12 Admit Card, Marksheet, Pass certificate & registration certificate - Copy of Bank Passbook
- Caste Certificate (if any)
- Disability Certificate (if any)
- TGL/Ex-TGL Certificate (if yes)
Steps to Apply for Assam College Admission 2024
Students want to take Admission in various Under Graduate programmes such as BA. BCom. BSc or B.Voc in various college. They have to apply through the Samarth admission portal before the last date. Here are the complete steps that you can follow to submit the B.A, BSc. Bcom admission Application form 2024.
Step:1 Samarth registration Process
- Visit the official website of assamadmission.samarth.ac.in link is available below.
- In the homepage of Samarth website, click on “New Registration”
- Enter the details such as Name, Dob, Mobile Number, Email ID, and create a unique Password and Click on register.
- An OTP will be sent to your mobile number
- Enter the OPT and Captcha code and submit it
- After successful registration, you will get a registration number
- Students must note the SAMARTH registration number and password for future use.
Step:2 Fill SARARTH Profile Details
- After completing the step 1
- Click on login button in Samarth Homepage
- Enter Email id and password to login the page
- Click on “complete profile”
- Enter the personal information, address and other details very carefully
- And click on “save and next” button to proceeds further
- Upload the documents such as photo, signature, ID Proof, etc in prescribe format and size
- Then Preview and check again cautiously
- After that mark on declaration form
- Click on confirm and Lock profile
Step:3 Selection of Programmes (B.A B.Sc., B.Com)
Once the profile is submitted successfully, students can apply for programmes. Candidates will get six options for program selection. Students need to mark preferences against the options of programs. Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) will be indicated of the
preference given by the candidates. The Colleges /Universities shall prepare the merit
lists in accordance with their admission rules. However, affiliated Colleges may prepare their
Merit list in accordance to the relevant rule of the concerned Universities.
- Under programmes selection
- Students need to select the programmes you want to apply
- Selection university such as (Gauhati University)
- Choose the college
- Select the programmes such as (UG)
- Then select the Scheme Type (Such as NEP-stream) NEP means New Education Policy)
- Once you fill all the details click on “proceed”
- And choose subjects and other details to complete the application process
- Also take a print out of the submitted form.
What after SAMRATH UG Admission application Form?
After successfully submit the application form, students can check the status of application in the dashboard in Samarth portal. Candidates can apply minimum 10 colleges of their choice. The admission of BA. BSC BCom and others under graduate programme is done on the basis of merit. Therefore, the college will publish the merit list for the selected candidates in the Samarth official website.
The college will release several merit lists, students need to check the merit list of that particular college and subjects in which you have applied for admission.
After publication of merit list, selected students need to visit the college along with merit list and other documents for admission within scheduled date.
