The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the notification on for CTET December 2024. The Central Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 will be conducted on 15 December 2024 for paper 1 and 2. Candidates who wants to be a teacher in Lower Primary and Upper Primary they can apply for CTET December 2024. The CTET December 2024 Application Form along with eligibility in given below.
CTET Application Form 2024
CTET Application form is started from 17 September and the last date to apply is 16 October 2024. Those candidates who are interested to apply for CTET 2024 December session must submit their form in online mode only before the last date. Apart from this, candidates can pay the application fee on or before 16 October 2024 (11:59 PM).

CTET 2024 Eligibility for Paper 1
CTET Examination for Paper 1 will be held on 15 December 2024 in evening shifts from 2:30 PM to 05:00 PM. The paper 1 will conduct for lower primary teachers from class 1 to 5. The Eligibility criteria for paper 1 and exam pattern is giving below.

Education Qualification:
- Candidates willing to appeared in CTET Examination Paper 1must have passed Senior Secondary exam (Class 12) with at least 50% marks and 2-year diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
CTET 2024 Eligibility for Paper 2
CTET Paper 2 will also be held on 1st December in the morning shifts from 09:30 AM to 12:00 NOON. Candidates should note that the paper 2 exam is conducting for 150 marks for upper primary teachers from class 6 to 8. The eligibility criteria for paper 2 is below.
Education Qualification:
- To appear for CTET Paper 2 candidates must have done the Bachelor’s degree in any subject and also possess B.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks However, those candidates who have Post graduation and B.Ed. they can also eligible for paper 2.
According to the norms of NCTE, candidate should satisfy the eligibility before applying and will be personally responsible in case they are not eligible to apply as per the eligibility criteria of NTCE. CTET Exam Pattern 2024
The exam structure of CTET exam 2024 is-
- Questions: Ther are total 150 questions in each paper
- Type: All questions are MCQ type in CTET 2024
- Marks: There is total 150 marks in each paper
- Negative: There are no marks as counted negative in CTET
- Paper 1: For lower Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5)
- Paper 2: For Upper Primary teacher (class 6 to 8)
- Duration: The exam duration in CTET is 2 hours 3 minutes for each paper.
CTET Paper 1 Questions and Allotted marks
There are 5 sections in paper 1 where all sections are compulsory. Each section carries 30 marks and 30 questions.
- Child Development and pedagogy 30 marks
- Mathematics 30 marks
- (EVS) Environments 30 marks
- Language 1 -30 marks
- Language 2- 30 marks
CTET Paper 2 Questions and allotted marks
- Child development and pedagogy as compulsory carries 30 marks.
- Mathematics and Science for math and sciences teacher -60 marks
- Social studies for social science teacher- 60 marks
- Language 1- carries 30 marks
- Language 2- carries 30 marks
Candidates will have to choose the options 2 or 3 as per their preference as social teacher of math teacher.
CTET December 2024 Application Fee
The application fee for General and OBC (NCL) candidates is Rs.1000 for single paper wither apply for paper 1 or paper 2 and Rs.1200 for both papers.
For ST/SC and Differently abled person, the application fee is Rs. 500 for single paper and for both paper the fee is Rs. 600.
