National Means cum Merit Scholarship 2024
The National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme under which the government provides Rs.12000 annual scholarship to the meritorious students. The NMMS Examination will be held on 23 November 2024 in offline mode. In order to appear for the test students can apply for scholarship before last date. Check the eligibility criteria below.

Assam NMMS Eligibility criteria 2024
- Students must be a regular student studying in Government, govt. aided or local body schools.
- The scholarship is only for current students of class IX, X, XI and XII
- Student must have secured minimum 55% mark in Class 8 examination. However, the for ST/ST students is 50%.
- The annual income of parents should not be more than 1.5 lakhs.
- The amount of NMMS Scholarship is 12k per annum, students will receive 1000 per month

NMMS Selection Process 2024
- In NMMS Exam there will be two sections, Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
- Each section contains 90 Question which are MCQ type.
- The level of question will be class 7 and 8. In addition, SAT covers the subjects like science, social studies and mathematics which are taught in class 7 and 8.
- The students must pass both MAT and SAT with at least 40% marks in aggregate, for taken together for SC/ST students, 32% marks.
- Student must have minimum 55% mark or equivalent grade in Class 8 examination.(50 % for SC/ST candidates).
