Gauhati University GURET Rank List 2024 can be accessed subject wise at guonline.in.The Gauhati University Phd merit list will be as per the performance of candidates in GURET 2024. Gauhati University Phd Admission Process 2024
Admissions into Phd Programmes will be based on GU Research Eligibility Test 2024 which was conducted on 7th July. Now the University has published the rank list for each subject for admission and counselling process. The final merit list of the selected candidates will be published by following the completion of counselling as per the GURET Rank list. Check details below with date scheduled.

GURET Photocopy and OMR Sheet Application 2024
Candidate whose name has been shown as reiected in GURET result 2024. They can apply for re-evaluation by submitting the necessary documents before 26 July 2024. Such as-

- Hard copy of online application form
In case of other aspirants, they can apply for OMR sheets by submitting the
following documents on or before 26 July 2024.

GU PhD Entrance Test 2024 Cut off Mark
The counselling of the candidates from GURET Merit List and list of exempted candidates will be condcuted by their respective department. The minimum cut off mark for appearing counselling in 30 for unreserved category candidates whereas 20 marks for reserved category candidates except EWS.
GURET Merit List 2024
Gauhati University has successfully conducted the GU Research Eligibility Test (GURET) on 7 July for 100 marks. Aspirants who took part in the examination for admission into the PhD Programmes of GU will be able to download the rank list from 22 July 2024 through the website of the university.
The University will publish a rank list for each subject based on the marks obtained by candidates in the GURET 2024.
In case of same marks obtained in the GURET 2024 such as two or more students obtain equal marks. The inter-se merit of such students will be determine d as per the following rules-
- Determining the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. Students having higher absolute value of the ratio will get better rank.
- Number of unanswered questions. Aspirants with less number of unanswered questions get better rank.
- If the resolution is not possible after this principle, aspirants with higher age will be provided better rank.
Gauhati University Phd Counselling 2024
The counselling process for admission into PhD programmes of GU will take place from 5 to 8 August 2024. Counselling is a compulsory process of the PhD admission which is conducted by the respective department as per the norms of the concerned department.
For selection, 70% marks weightage will be given in GURET Score 2024 and 30% weightage will be from counselling. Candidates who are calling for counselling will have to appear for counselling along with their original documents as per the date scheduled. It is suggesting to download the counselling list to know what are documents that you need produce to secure admission. The Counselling date and time, reporting time, venue etc. will be release d by the concerned department in due course of time.

Gauhati University Phd Selection List 2024
The final list of selected candidates will be prepare d by concerned Department Research Committee (DRC) followed by the counselling process. Candidates who are selecte d in the final list will have to take online admission from 16 August to 20 August 2024 by paying the necessary admission fee as per their programmes.
