Punjab Bank Recruitment 2024 Eligibility Criteria
To apply for PNB Apprentice recruitment 2024, candidates need to meet certain eligibility criteria which are below.
Age criteria:
- The age of the candidate should not be less than 20 years and not more than 28 years as on 30 June 2024. Moreover, for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD applicants, there will be age relaxation as per the GOI guidelines.
- ST/SC – 5 years
- OBC (non-creamy layer) – 3 Years
- PwBD- 10 Years
- Widows (General/EWS) -35 years, (OBC)- 38 years, (SC/ST )- 40 years
Education qualification:
- Applicants should have passed graduation from any discipline Arts, Science, commerce etc. from a recognize university/college on or before 30 June 2024.
- Applicants applying for training seats of a particular State or Union Territory, must have proficiency in reading, writing, speaking and understanding the local language of that State.
Fitness
Candidates should be medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank.
Duration of Training
The total duration of training will of 1 year from the date of contract or joining. One week is basic training and 50 weeks being job training in one year. For more details read the official notification from the download link below.
PNB Apprentice Salary
The involved apprentices are qualified for following remuneration per month for the contract period of one year.
- For Rural or semi urban branch- Rs.10000 per months
- Urban Branch – Rs. 12000 per months
- Metro Branch- Rs. 15000 per months.

The PNB application fee for general and OBC candidates is Rs. 944 and Female ST, SC candidates need to pay Rs. 708 and for PwBD candidates the fee is Rs. 472 only.

PNB Apprentice Selection Process 2024
The selection process for Apprentice posts consists of three stages such as written exam which is conducted in online mode. Test of local language means the candidates should have proficiency in the local language of the branch circle. And the last stage is medical fitness test.
Exam Pattern
The written exam will be on 100 marks containing 100 MCQ questions. The exam duration is 1 hours means candidates have to answer 100 questions within 1 hour. Also, the medium of question paper is English and Hindi both. The syllabus of entrance exam is below.
- General and Financial knowledge- 25 marks.
- General English – 25 marks
- Quantitative & Reasoning Aptitude – 25 marks
- Computer Knowledge- 25 marks
