Department of Higher Education, Assam has released the guideline for distribution of free scooters to students securing 80% or more Marks in Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination 2025. Students having the required HS Scooty percentage will get scooty award as Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award under Pragyan Bharati Scheme . Percentage required for HS Scooty Assam 2025
Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award under Pragyan Bharati Scheme is introduced by Directorate of Higher Education for distributing free Scooters to Girl and Boy students securing 80% in Class 12 examination 2025.
Free scooty will provide to male and female students who fulfil the eligibility criteria as guided by Assam Government. Last year, scooty was distributed to 35,800 students under Pragyan Bharti scooty scheme. The minimum percentage criteria for male were 75% and for female was only 60% in HS exam.
Moreover, as per the latest guidelines published by the department of higher education Assam, students who have scored 80% marks in higher secondary examination 2025 will get free scooty.

Assam Government is providing free Scooter to the eligible students to foster encourage students to perform better in their studies.

HS Scooty Eligibility
- The students must obtain 80% or more marks in the Higher Secondary Examination
- betterment and re-appearance students are not be eligible for the scheme.
- Students must be residents of the State of Assam.
- Students admitted in institutions outside the State are also eligible they have to provide a valid PRC of Assam.
- No offline applications will be accepted for HS scooty scheme.

How to Check HS Scooty Percentage?
To check hs scooty percentage, students need to visit DHE official website. The directorate of Higher education has released the list of male and female students securing 80% or more marks. students who are listing in that merit list are eligible for HS scooty. Assam Scooty Application Form 2025
Unlike last year, the eligible students will have to fill up an online application form for scooty. The Director of Higher Education will publish HS Scooty online apply link in the official website of DHE. More details will be upload at DHE official website keep visiting the official page frequently.
HS Scooty Distribution 2025
- The list of students with 80% OR above marks will be collected from ASSEB and upload the list of beneficiaries on https://directorateofhighereducation.assam.gov.in/
- The eligible students fill out online application form as mentioned above the link to be activate at DHE website.
- The Nodal Principals appointed by DHE will collect Appreciation Certificates from DHE. The beneficiaries receive Certificates from Nodal Principals and submit to dealer.
- Students will have to collect scooters from dealers without paying any money. If student passes away, the legal guardians collect scooty.
- Here is the important p[point to remember that students receiving. Dr. Bani Kanta Kakati Merit Award are not eligible for Nijut Moina Scheme, except opting out cases for girls.
