India Post GDS Eligibility Criteria 2024
To apply for the vacant posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) or Dak Sevaks in different offices of the Department of Posts. Candidates must have matriculation along with 10th standard certificate, they must have fulfilled the others eligibility criteria which are mentioned below.
Age criteria
- Minimum Age is 18 year and the maximum age limit in case of upper age is 40 years.
- Additionally, the age relaxation is 3 years for OBC, 5 years for ST/SC and 10 years for Pwd candidates etc.
- The age will be find out/determined as on the last date of submission of applications.
Education Qualification
- Candidates must have Secondary School Examination (SSE) pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in Mathematics and English from any recognized Board of School Education.

Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) Application Fee
Applicants should pay the application fee of Rs.100 for all posts, notified in choice division. However, GDS application fee is exempte d for all female candidates, SC /ST candidates, PwD candidates and Transwomen candidates.
How to Submit India Post GDS application form 2024
At first, aspirants will have to register for gds application form at https://indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. after that applicants complete their registration process with their own Email ID and active mobile number because of communication purpose. While apply online make sure that the following documents are ready.
- Scanned Photo in jpg/ipeg format less than 50 kb.
- Applicant’s signature in jpg/ipeg format less than 20 kb.

- Active Email Address
- Aadhar Card, if available
- Information of your board such as Year of passing, marks etc.
Required Documents for GDS 2024
Candidates would require to carry the following documents for physical verification. While attending the GDS Documents verification, applicants must bring theses documents in original and two sets of self-attested photocopies for submission.

- Identity proof (Aadhar, PAN, Voter ID etc.)
- Caste certificate (If any)
- PWD certificate (If any)
- EWS Certificate (If any)
- Transgender certificate (If any)
- Date of Birth Proof

GDS Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of system generated merit list. The GDS merit list will be shortlist as per the marks obtained by the candidates in their secondary school examination of 10th class standard.
Applicants whose marksheet has both marks and grades will have to apply with marks only. In case any candidates apply with grades points instead of marks, their candidature will be cancelled.
